Sistrum DOOEL was registered in 2009. It started working as a sophisticated computer service . In 2011 we began with the process of data recovery from hard drives. We are equipped with the latest equipment for drive access on a low level that bypasses the BIOS and the operating system. For drives with poor sections we have special procedures of different multi reading of the same sections. For drives that have problems with the read/write heads we have a Clean Room Class 100 which is unique in Macedonia and tools developed in our laboratory that makes operating on drives easier.
The latest novelty is the equipment for operating with SSD drives and other Flash memories. Due to the specificity of operating on these devices, the service is still in an experimental stage and is unavailable.

The drive diagnostic is free of charge, the problem and the condition of the drive are being detected. If the damage of the drive is too large meaning that there is damage on the platters where the data is written, there is no option of data recovery.

When it comes to the security of your recovered data, all data is saved on offline drives that are kept locked or encrypted. When the operation is finished and the client gives conformation, all data is permanently erased with no possibility of misuse.

As a logical extension of our line of work we have drive and web forensics. We make forensic copies of all kinds of mass memories and analyze the same. In this field we cooperate with CyberSecurity.mk who completely conduct the web forensic and the analyses of the web and the internet traffic.

  Diagnostics

  Stage 1

  The hard drive is thoroughly checked. First visually to determine was it opened previously or is there a physical damage. The drive’s PCB is checked and then it is plugged on voltage.

  Repairing PCB

  Stage 2

  If the drive does not respond when plugged on voltage, drive not spining, a more detailed analyses is done and the electronic board is repaired.

  Firmware problem

  Stage 3

  If everything is all right with the feed and the electronics, the status is checked, the drive’s firmware, the SMART, the tables with bad sectors.

  If the drive still has problems, it is opened in order to check the condition of the platters, the heads for reading/writing. preamp and the motor.
